The tub bank
The last day, for the bottom of the freezer: the tub bank. Here goes the batch cooking and everything you prep to keep «emergency food» ready.
The sacred rule: a date and a name on every tub. Frozen, everything looks alike —is this bolognese or pumpkin soup?— and without a label it ends up forgotten for months. A strip of masking tape and a pen will do.
Use flat, stackable containers to make the most of the space, and rotate: new at the back, old at the front. Ten days, and the fridge finally obeys you.
