The tub bank

The last day, for the bottom of the freezer and the icemaker area: the tub bank and the batch cooking.

Sacred rule: a date and a name on every tub. Frozen, everything looks alike, and without a label it's forgotten for months. A strip of tape and a pen will do. Use flat, stackable containers to squeeze the space.

Keep the icemaker's ice away from smelly food, and rotate: new at the back, old at the front. Eleven days, and the American fridge finally obeys you.
