Day 7 · The wide doors

No man's land, XL edition

The American fridge's doors are wide and full of shelves: tempting, but still the warmest, most unstable zone. Only what handles the swings well.

Top to bottom: butter and jams up top; sauces and jars (ketchup, mustard, dressings) in the middle; and the heaviest at the bottom, water and drinks.

With so much room, resist the urge to put eggs or milk here: they're better inside, on a shelf.

Art. VII

«in the wide doors, what handles the sway; sauces, butter and drinks are okay.»
