The American freezer is big —a whole column or wide drawers—. The upper zone (or top drawer) is the most accessible: for what you use first.

Bread (freezes beautifully and revives in the toaster), frozen veg and those everyday bits you reach for each week.

Stand bags upright, like files, so you see everything. In such a big fridge, what you can't see gets forgotten for months.
